The fujara is a towering Slovak overtone flute, traditionally played by shepherds. With just three finger holes and a long resonant bore, it produces deep, haunting tones by riding the overtone series. The fujara sings with the voice of the mountains. A flute so tall it reaches the sky, carrying shepherd songs into a timeless, meditative soundscape. This instrument only has 3 holes but plays a full chromatic scale , this Fujara in A is one whole step higher in pitch than the G that has been quite popular for us, but still hosts a low and beautiful tone. This A however, will be lighter weight with a closer finger spread, and much more manageable than the G. this is a good choice for women or smaller handed people .
It's made from a branch of an Elder Tree, a traditional wood used for fujara flutes! It is hand crafted by a master craftsman in the Czech Republic.. A beautiful natural look, and professional sound quality!
