Support the WAWA Vision

 WAWA!

HeIlo Everyone! This new project has been in the works for quite some time, and I'm excited to share that there's Now a Non Profit Organization in place to support our Indigenous ceremonies!  This organization is called "WAWA"(Abbreviation for Wichoh an Wakhan Awanglaka a Lakota phrase meaning "Supporting Sacred Ceremony"), and ready to help us build more possibilities for the survival and healing of our people!

If you are up to date about my life (Miguel) outside of "STF", you know that I am very involved in Indigenous ceremonies and helping our "All Nations" Indigenous communities here in the PNW, and in the Turtle Mountains. My main commitment is to our Thunderbird Lodge community, and our sweat lodges, bear ceremonies, buffalo ceremonies, vision quest and Hunger/Thirsty Dance(Sundance).

WAWA's main objective and mission statement is:

To support the creation of inclusive spaces that honor indigenous spiritual practices, uplifting their voices and protecting their traditions. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, we build a community where diverse beliefs are celebrated, and the sacred connection between people, land, and spirit is nurtured.

And Our Vision is: To have a world where indigenous spiritual practices are recognized and valued, fostering mutual respect, cultural preservation, and harmony with nature. Our goal is a future where these tradition thrive, contributing to a more inclusive and spiritually connected world

Specifically , your donations help us to provide lodging, ceremonial structures, porta potties for larger ceremonies, fire wood etc. for people to have healing ceremonies and spaces. Our Elders and teachers are in place, but our financial help is often lacking, so we are limited in what we can do. Our smaller communities pull together what we can to keep our ceremonies going, but we can do so much more with some support, such as fly elders out from the turtle mountains and other areas to share their wisdom and cultural knowledge, and to ultimately purchase property where we can conduct our larger ceremonies and build a more permanent space for this cause. Your tax deductible donation is greatly appreciated. If you haven't yet donated, we would greatly appreciate even the smallest contribution.

If you would like to know more about our ceremonies or stay up to date about what we do (and possibly participate), You can Sign up for your ceremony newsletter HERE(Separate from STF Flute Newsletter)
