We almost never offer Aeolian flutes in this key with 2 full octaves, and we will not offer this as Made To Order, as our cut off for 3/4 " bore, two Octave range Aeolian flute is G or sometimes F#. we will only make a flute like this if the flute allows it after producing the first sound. That tells us what key will work. This means this is the only one we will be making any time soon, so get it while you can! It is clear and vibrant... excellent concert quality!
Most standard native-style flutes and similar modal woodwinds are limited to an octave or an octave and a half. Having two full octaves drastically expands your creative freedom. It allows you to play soaring high melodies and deep, grounding low notes on a single instrument without running out of room.
The Aeolian tuning is the natural minor scale. It is widely loved by musicians because it delivers a deeply emotional, reflective, and dark soundscape without requiring complex music theory to sound good. In the key of F, it provides a rich, moderately low pitch that is deeply meditative and soothing
