The fujara is a towering Slovak overtone flute, traditionally played by shepherds. With just three finger holes and a long resonant bore, it produces deep, haunting tones by riding the overtone series. The fujara sings with the voice of the mountains. A flute so tall it reaches the sky, carrying shepherd songs into a timeless, meditative soundscape. This instrument only has 3 holes but plays a full chromatic scale , this Fujara in G has a warm and soulful sound! Its unique voice has been featured in soundtracks such as The Whale (2022), Eleanor’s Secret (2009), and noted by fans in Avatar: The Way of Water (2022).
This Fujara s made from a master craftsman in Czech Republic, and made from a branch of an Elder Tree, a traditional wood used for these instruments! It has a clean and finished look, it has a beautiful stain and varnish.
