This beautiful flute is made with a cherry body, walnut end caps and sound blocks, and alaskan cedar accent bands.
This flute was made by Miguel's apprentice Mike Kapsimalis with MoonKat Flutes. This flute features his signature natural oil rub finish on the mouthpiece, and signature pumice and turquoise inlay on the sound block.
The Low D tuning gives this flute a deep, full-bodied voice that is especially well suited for slow, expressive melodies and immersive improvisation. The minor scale brings a soulful and reflective quality to the instrument, creating plenty of room for emotional and melodic exploration.
