We are so excited to introduce this  wonderful instrument here in the US!

The duduk is an ancient Armenian double-reed woodwind, carved from aged apricot wood, known for its warm, mellow, and hauntingly expressive timbre. With its wide reed and cylindrical body, it creates a voice that is at once intimate, plaintive, and deeply emotional. Its evocative voice has resonated in popular movie scores such as Gladiator, The Passion of the Christ, Alexander, Syriana, Munich, Ararat, Hulk, and more. The duduk whispers the tales of ancient hills — a flute that mourns, consoles, and stirs the soul, singing with the voice of memory itself.

This instrument is getting more and more popular here in the US and around the world. As the sound healing, and healing( relaxation/meditation) music scene becomes more popular, ethnic instruments from around the world are finding their way into a more widespread audience. If you’re ready to take your woodwind skills to the next level, this instrument may be for you!  Singing Tree Flutes is will be the first US distributor of Vamelo Duduks, and other professional duduks by master craftsman in Armenia. No worries about Tariffs and customs fees for US customers!

We are working with a few different master duduk makers, and these are the first few that we received from Alexy, Korchagin, master duduk maker. It's worth searching Alexduuk on instagram and youtube for tips and tricks on duduk playing! They are very professionally made and have a unique, vibrant timbre to them. This is the key of A and it's the standard tuning. It's recommended to learn on an A by many makers, because it was the original key, and there is a lot of music and instruction material made for this key.. The video above shows the key of A
