The "Fukara" is an awesome creation by a highly skilled flute crafter in Czech Republic. Based off of the traditional towering Slovak overtone flute, the fujara, this instrument has the same deep, and rich sound when riding the overtones, but as opposed to the chromatic scale, it has a more mid eastern flavor. The notes achieved with the playing holes are G, G#, Bflat and B(1/2 step, whole step, 1/2 step).. I really love the energy of this instrument! Keep in mind this is heavier than even the fujara, because the branch has to be bigger around to have this scale work.
This Fukara is made from a branch of an Elder Tree, a traditional wood used for fujara flutes!
