This NAI alternating Drone flute is our latest creation, and is absolutely magical! The scale is rare, and is an indigenous tuning of the plains peoples. It's the NAI, North American Indigenous tuning. This scale has a warm, uplifting sound to it.
The woods on this flute are Curly Limba with Walnut end caps and sound block. Turquoise inlay may be found on your flute, in any of the natural worm holes that may occur in the wood.
Approximate Flute Specs (G#): Length 20 3/4", Length from mouthpiece to bottom hole 16", Bore 3/4", Maximum Finger spread 1 3/8" between holes 2 & 3 (measured from the center of one hole to the center of the next).
This item is Made to Order. This means that once you order, we create a flute in the same key, wood, style and accents. It is NOT the exact flute you see in the images, but we do our best to keep it as similar as possible. Please allow 30 -60 days for our beginner and no-frills flutes. Sometimes we are able to complete orders sooner, but please allow 60-180 days to complete more complex Made to Order items. Time needed to complete your flute varies by order volume, wood availability and complexity of your flute.
