The most common beginner key is A, as it’s has a finger spacing that is manageable for most players and is a versatile key for guitar accompaniment, and playing with other instruments. This makes A great for advancing. The B and C (including #'s and flats) flutes are ideal for small hands, travel and have a bright tone with exceptional volume.
