Here is a fabulous new design by Singing Tree Flutes! A Native American style drone flute, in Aeolian mode with a total of 8 playing holes. Still considered an alternating drone, the melody side of the flute still plays the standard Aeolian scale, with 1.5 octave range, but the drone side plays a total of 5 notes with one fingering hole on top and another thumb hole on the bottom. The drone can now play the scale degrees of 1,4,5,6 and the octave (over blow), that can be changed to drone through the whole melody. This flute uses all 5 fingers on the left hand, but is quite comfortable and easy to manage! It is made of limba wood, with walnut end caps and claw sound blocks the sound is divine! This is one of the most musically complex flutes that we make.
The flute in the video is the exact flute that we have for sale.
