These flutes have a cherry body, purple heart accent bands, and wenge end caps and sound blocks. We wanted to offer a drone flute that is simple, yet eye catching with the purple heart band with a shorter wait time than most of our other made to order drone flutes. This one also has an option for left hand on bottom players.

Drone flutes allow for a more creative and layered expression than a single flute. These beautiful flutes are the perfect size, allowing for a medium pitch with a playable finger stretch for most players.

Both have a beautiful and bright tone with a rich drone resonance that is sure to fill any room. The 440 scale is the classic standard for the Native American Style flute, and will play beautifully with other instruments. The 432 scale is just slightly lower, and warmer. The 432 scale is thought of as a "natural" tuning, used for healing, yoga, and meditation. Both tunings are beautiful and unique in their own way.

Flute Details:

Keys: A 432, A 440

Type: Drone Flute

Body Wood: Cherry

Accent Wood: Purple Heart and Wenge

Approximate Length 440: 19 1/2"

Approximate Length 432: 19 1/4"

Finger Spacing 440: 1 1/4" center to center

Finger Spacing 432: 1 1/4" center to center

Mouth to 1st Hole 440: 9 1/4"

Mouth to 1st Hole 432: 8 3/4"

Handcrafted in the United States — one of a kind

Every Singing Tree flute is individually handcrafted by Miguel Medina using 30+ years of time-honored woodworking skill and carefully selected hardwoods.
