As some of you know, I put extra time and effort at the beginning of each year to come up with some beautiful looking and sounding flutes. Well, this flute is another prime example! This years series is called "manifestation", the celebration of knowing our dreams are coming true, we will reach our goals and we will succeed! This is surely another one of my best works ever, depicting Eagle medicine, the closeness to Creator flute, bringing connection and healing to the people. This flute is made of curly sedua, carved with a gorgeous golden eagle head, with taxidermy eyes and detailed carving work. Never have i carved an elaborate eagle out of such a fine piece of wood. I also received some elephant ivory on a flute trade a while back, that was reclaimed from an old pool cue, and the tips of piano keys. So I made the mouth piece accent stripe, and feather as well as sound block top of elephant ivory. It is a real pleasure carving such fine material. as you can see by the detail in the feather, it's an excellent medium. The pictures don't do this extraordinary piece any justice. There is also red bloodwood as an accent stripe and accent to the fetish as well. It's a truly stunning gallery piece. The sound is fantastic as well,in the key of Low E, with a clear and very lively vibrant, projective sound. I hope you find appreciation for this piece of work. It was a joy to create.
